A day’s mini-conference, entitled The Happiest Day Of Your Life? Social History Through Education Records, is being held on Saturday 19 February, from 12.30pm until 6pm, at Gloucestershire Archives (Alvin Row, Gloucester).
Speakers at the event include Fiona Mead, who will be talking about Victorian school logbooks – an invaluable source of information, and subject of a current Family and Community History Research Society project – and Angela Newcombe, talking about committee minutes.
Entry is £8 (£5 for members of the Friends of Gloucestershire Archives), and has to be pre-booked via archives@gloucestershire.gov.uk (or call 01452 425295).
Further details can be found on the Gloucestershire Archives website.
